About Moosefest
An annual gathering of Northern Exposure fans, Moosefest brings them together in the historic, rustic town of
Roslyn, Washington
-- Cicely, Alaska's real-world double. Roslyn has been the site of many fan events since the mid-1990s. Many of those fans have returned year after year - some from as far as Europe, Australia, and Israel.
Besides being a great time for Antlers Up (remembering Northern Exposure), Moosefest supports many charity groups in the town of Roslyn, and beyond. Moosefest also contributes to Roslyn's economy with lodging, food, lots of shopping, and more -- which is a way to give back to the community that was such a gracious host for television's Cicely, Alaska.
Moosefest is sponsored by
Friends of Roslyn (FOR),
a charitable organization founded by Northern Exposure fans to support the arts and other charitable organizations in and around Roslyn, Washington. Fundraising activities during Moosefest directly support these causes.
Moosefest is exclusively planned and executed by a
Moosefest Committee
of diverse, volunteer Northern Exposure fans from across the United States. It is truly a fan festival that is fan-created, fan-planned, fan-run and for the fan! These
committee members have been involved in running every summer fan festival since 1999.
Moosefest 2008 will take place July 25 to 27, 2008.
